Welcome to Sojourn

I’m selective with what I use AI for but I started chatting with Claude about what the Bible says about Generosity and Envy. Something I wanted to embrace more fully and something I was struggling with. I was pleasantly surprised by what Claude surfaced and how it framed different scripture.

What I love about chat is the ease by which I can start into a topic. Modern AI tools are very forgiving and can help you take the first step. From there, you can direct the conversation in any direction. It’s really a new way to explore scripture and it’s quite exciting. What Claude isn’t great at is transitioning from chat to reading scripture. I found myself having to jump out of chat and into a Bible in order to read the context around a verse.

Then I remembered my favorite deep dive exploration experience: Wikipedia. I often start reading about a topic and open new tabs of other Wikipedia pages when I want to learn more. I can go 4 or 5 tabs deep until I decide to close those tabs to return to the original topic. I wish I could read the Bible that way.

That’s basically what Sojourn is; a combination of these two. It’s the way I always wanted to explore scripture and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
